From 6th June to 7th June, HIH Princess Kako of Akishino visited Yamaguchi Prefecture to attend the Naming and Launching Ceremony of the oceanographic research vessel.
On 6th June, HIH Princess Kako visited the mausoleum of Emperor Antoku (1177-1185) and Akama Shrine which enshrines Emperor Antoku in Shimonoseki City.
On that day, HIH Princess Kako visited Kaikyokan, the aquarium in Shimonoseki City.
On 7th June, HIH Princess Kako attended the Naming and Launching Ceremony of the oceanographic research vessel took place in Shimonoseki City.
