From 30th November to 6th December, HIM Emperor Akihito and HIM Empress Michiko visited India for the first time since 1960.
On 30th November, Thier Majesties arrived at Palam Air Force Station in Dehli and got welcomed by HE Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India and his wife.
On 1st December, Their Majesties visited Rodhi Gardens in New Dehli.
On 1st December, Their Majesties visited the Embassy of Japan and inspected the tree of Buddha which Their Majesties planted in 1960.
On 2nd December, Their Majesties attended the welcoming ceremony held at Presidential Residence and met with HE Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, the President of India.
On 2nd December, Their Majeties visited Raj Ghat, the memorial park for Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi(1869-1948).
On 2nd December, Their Majesties visited Jawaharlal Nehru University.
On 2nd December, HIM Emperor Akihito met with HE Prime Minister Singh.

On 3rd December, Their Majesties visited India International Centre. Their Majesties once attended the cornerstone laying ceremony of India International Center when Their Majesties visited India in 1960.
