From 25th March to 28th March, HIM Emperor Akihito and HIM Empress Michiko visited Mie Prefecture mainly to visit Ise Jingu Grand Shrine.
When the emperor visits Ise Jingu, the emperor brings the Imperial Regalia (the Sword and the Crystals) from Imperial Palace as customary.

On 26th March, Their Majesties visited the outer sanctuary and the inner sanctuary of Ise Jingu.
On 27th March, Their Majesties visited the museum introducing the transfer ceremonies of Gods of Ise Jingu held in October 2013.
On 28th March, Their Majesties wet back to Tokyo from Ujiyamada Station in Ise City, Mie Prefecture.
On 26th March, HIH Princess Mako of Akishinonomiya graduated from International Christian University. HIH Princess Mako entered the university in 2010 and majored in art and cultural property.
On 21st March, HIH Crown Prince Naruhito attended the anniversary event for The 2014 World Water Day held at The United Nations University in Tokyo and delivered a speech.

On 19th March, HIM Emperor Akihito and HIM Empress Michiko made a farewell visit to HE Mr. Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and his wife at the State Guest House.
On 18th March, HIH Princess Aiko of Toshinomiya graduated from Gakushuin elementary school. HIH Crown Prince Naruhito and HIH Crown Princess Masako attended the graduation ceremony.
On 17th March, HIM Emperor Akihito and HIM Empress Michiko welcomed HE Mr. Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and his wife as the State Guests at Imperial Palace.
After the welcoming ceremony at East Garden of Imperial Palace, Their Majesties met with them inside Imperial Palace.
At the evening, Their Majesties held the Imperial Banquet for them at Imperial Palace.
On 14th March, HIM Emperor Akihito and HIM Empress Michiko met with the recipients of the Award for Distinguished Medical Care at Imperial Palace.
From 13th March to 14th March, HIH Princess Kiko of Akishinonomiya visited Shimane Prefecture mainly to attend The 65th National Assembly of Prevention of Tuberculosis. HIH Princess Kiko is the President of Japan Anti-Tuberculosis Association.
During the visit, HIH Princess Kiko visited Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine in Izumo City. It was the first time for her to visit Izumo Taisha since 1994.
On 13th March, HIM Emperor Akihito met with HE Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the president of Federal Republic of Somalia at Imperial Residence.
On 13th March, HIH Prince Fumihito and HIH Princess Mako of Akishinonomiya visited Sendai Rainbow House in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. Sendai Rainbow House is the support center for the children orphaned by Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on 11th March 2011.
