On 23rd November, HIM Emperor Akihito, HIH Crown Prince Naruhito and HIH Prince Fumihito of Akishino attended the Niiname-sai took place at Imperial Palace Sanctuary.
In this ceremony, the Emperor offers new crops as thanks to the ancestral and other gods, after which the Emperor himself eats some of the crops that were offered. This is the most important of all the annual ritual ceremonies that take place at the Imperial Palace. The Emperor also offers crops that he has grown himself as an offering to the gods.

From 24th November to 29th November, HIM Emperor Akihito and HIM Empress Michiko visited Hayama Imperial Villa in Hayama Town, Kanagawa Prefecture.

On 24th November, HIH Prince Fumihito of Akishino attended the Executive Committee of The Society of Biosophia Studies took place in Tokyo.

On 25th November, HIH Crown Prince Naruhito met with the recipients of the 37th Maternal and Child Health Promotion Award at Crown Prince Residence.

On 25th November, 26th November and 27th November, HIH Princess Hisako of Takamado attended the 67th Prince Takamado Memorial Cup of All Japan English Speech Contest for Junior High School Students took place in Tokyo. On 27th November, HIH Princess Hisako attended the reception of the contest took place in Tokyo.

On 26th November, HIH Prince Fumihito of Akishino attended the annual award ceremony of Distinguished Fisheries took place in Tokyo.

On 26th November, HIH Princess Yoko of Mikasa met with the ambassadors and enjoyed the duck netting at Saitama Kamoba, Imperial Wild Duck Preserves in Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture.

On 26th November, HIH Prince Fumihito of Akishino attended the workshop took place at The University Museum, The University of Tokyo.

On 27th November, HIH Prince Fumihito and HIH Princess Kiko of Akishino visited the Mausoleums of Emperor Showa and Empress Kojun.

On 28th November, HIH Prince Fumihito of Akishino attended the 70th memorial exhibition of Rohdea Japonica took place in Tokyo.

On 29th November, HIH Princess Yoko of Mikasa attended the 49th Imperial Charity Bowling Tournament took place in Tokyo.
